For years, American Idol was the standard by which music success was measured – according to Reality TV, that is. Now, it’s coming to an end. And I for one an beyond giddy. You can’t tell, but I’m doing back flips right now.
American Idol was the embodiment of everything that is wrong with the “fame” mentality. Kids with a sob story and cardboard cutout talent, all clamoring for screen time, howling, “look at me! Make me famous,” if for no other reason than they just want the world to worship them.
